We celebrated Astronomy Month during the month of April. Many significant events occurs in the month of April leading to the discoveries we know now. A few include:
NASA's Space Shuttle Columbia, piloted by John Young and Robert Crippen, completed 36 orbits on its inaugural flight, STS-1, in April 1981.
Space shuttle Endeavour's final mission, STS-134, delivered supplies including the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer to the ISS in April 2011, marking one of NASA's last shuttle flights.
